From my experience MPC seems to be the best quality kits. The parts seem like much higher quality than others.

This is one of the best kits I've put together yet, fit and finish wise. It's an EXCELLENT kit.

That is a truly awesome color! Sorry to get off subject, but do, or perhaps know anyone that might have or make side view mirrors for the 67-69 Chevrolets? Camaro, Chevelle, Impalas? I’m building a 67 Camaro and I’ve searched all I know how, but I’m not familiar with enough builders to know who really to ask. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I had a 92 f -150xlt long Ed and a v8 midnight blue just under doors height with kinda rally blue over the rest of the body. Was a solid great running truck paid 3000.00 for it and sold it to my late brother in law for 2650.00 I believe in 2022 b 4 his passing

I want the real full scale 1972 F-250. Putting money aside to restore one in few years.

This kit has a fascinating concept; MPC and some of the other companies were very innovative in the old days. I remember a schoolmate of mine, who passed away many years ago, and his dad who was a mechanic used to drag race a red Maverick they called The Eliminator.

Did you notice that AMT is providing extras for the tiny parts, like lenses? I assume they are thinking about us "five thumbs" builders who lose those parts easily? Thank you Round2!

Built this kit back when it first came out. A bit fiddly but we expected that back then! We just powered through! No Tamiya kits that you could just shake the box and it just built itself.

It's interesting you no longer use the drill and socket to scuff the tires, that's one of your tips I picked up on a few years back.

So, how did you get the masking right as far as the angle goes on the stripes on the hood to match the angle of the decal?? Like if you don't get the "point" angle right it won't line up with the decal? Did you just measure the width of the hood and make a point right in the center to for angle? I'm not sure if what I'm asking is exactly clear. It's the best way i can think to say it.

Very impressive, I wasn't too convinced but now watching the details just caught my attention again. Also.. seeing it over your FJ's hood, it looks bigger to be a 1/24th scale model, looks more like a 1/18, so I think it just completes my decision of getting one!

I built the previous reissue of this kit. Just built the altered version and filled all the fender seams. Fun kit to build.

Hmmm. That doesn't look like a skill level 2 build to me. More like a 4 or 5.

I'm glad you partner with these model vendors and bang these builds out in a way that the average builder like me have a chance to replicate these models...

Fun fact: Ohio George (R.I.P.) never raced the 1:1 car. He only built it because MPC paid him to do so. George's car looked completely different from the kit _ for one thing, it didn't have the massive hood scoop _ which leads me to believe that MPC designed and tooled the kit before George had built the 1:1.
